UniLink have greatly assisted the Council in getting its leasing portfolio into shape and since we have been using the services of UniLink our exposure and risk to leasing has been mitigated. We have also made significant savings both in extensions and return condition charges.

We are very happy with the portfolio of services UniLink provide, in particular, the comprehensive leasing advisory and lease portfolio management service.

The Council has around £12m of leased assets that are managed by UniLink and we have been very happy with the savings achieved on lease expiry costs. The on-line lease administration system is a valuable tool as it allows us and UniLink to track the expiry of leases, allowing new vehicles to be ordered in plenty of time, reducing the need to enter into extension rentals while we are waiting for new deliveries.

The system also allows our user departments to be informed of lease expiries directly, saving valuable administration time for the fleet management department.

Going forward we will also be using UniLink to assist in our review of asset finance and leasing including reviewing the use of contract hire.
